Dr. Onigu-Otite (Dr. Otite)
Child, Adolescent, Addiction & Adult Psychiatry
Dr. Onigu-Otite (Dr. Otite) received her medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She completed a residency program in General Psychiatry with a fellowship in Child and Adolescent psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX and a further fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Maryland. Thereafter, she joined the faculty at Kennedy Krieger Institute where she was Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University and served as Medical Director of the Center for Child and Family Traumatic Stress. In July 2014, Dr. Onigu-Otite moved to Houston to join faculty at Baylor College of Medicine, in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Otite is triple-boarded with clinical and research interests in electronics and addictive disorders in children and adolescents, the effects of prenatal drug exposure and use of motivational interviewing in chronic medical conditions, and ADHD.
